Sumter man wanted in connection with armed robbery

SUMTER, S.C. (WOLO) — The Sumter County Sheriff‘s Office has placed a man on its most wanted list. 42-year-old Kevin Kellenbenz, of Sumter is wanted on multiple warrants, including armed robbery, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, two counts of pointing and presenting a firearm, sale or delivery of a firearm, and contempt of circuit court officials say. Kellenbenz is also wanted in connection with an Amanda Circle area armed robbery in August in which victims reported the suspect allegedly entered a home and stole an estimated $1,000. Kellenbenz was last seen early morning Thursday, Sept. 10, fleeing on foot from a traffic stop near the intersection of Pinewood Road and Wedgefield Road. Kellenbenz should be considered potentially dangerous.
