Clemson and USF End in a Draw Sunday
CLEMSON, S.C. (CU SID) — The No. 8 Clemson women‘s soccer team forced a scoreless draw (0-0) against South Florida on Sunday Sept. 13, 2015. Both teams now have a record of 6-0-1 for the 2015 season. Clemson junior goalkeeper Kailen Sheridan recorded seven saves in the 110 minutes of play on Sunday, her third shutout of the season and 18th of her career. Catrina Atanda had five of the Tigers 16 shots in the match and the Tigers compiled 8 corner kicks. Head Coach Eddie Radwanski was particularly happy with the way his team played in the first half of the game. “We were dominant, played well and had our opportunities but I liked all the things we did today and have done throughout the non-conference part of the schedule.” Clemson finished the non-conference portion of the season undefeated. “I was real pleased with the non-conference part of the schedule and that the girls went undefeated in the first half of the year”, said Radwanski “Now we look to continue that on Saturday as we open ACC play.” The Tigers begin ACC play on Saturday Sept. 19 at 6 p.m. at Historic Riggs Field before taking to the road for games as Florida State and Miami the 24th and 27th of September. As always, admission is free to all regular season home games.
