After 3-hour standoff, Sumter man arrested

SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) — Deputies with the Sumter County Sheriff‘s Office arrested a man wanted in connection to a string of robberies. On Monday, 42-year-old Kevin Kellenbenz of Sumter was taken into custody after a three-hour active manhunt in the Oswego community officials say. Kellenbenz, has multiple warrants for his arrest on various violent crimes, including armed robbery and weapons charges officials say. He was named to the agency‘s Most Wanted list last week after allegedly running from officers during a traffic stop. Kellenbenz was also wanted in connection with an Amanda Circle area armed robbery last month in which victims reported the suspect entered a home and stole an estimated $1,000 at gunpoint. Authorities say additional arrests for harboring a fugitive are possible.
