Rick Santorum returning to South Carolina for campaign swing

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Presidential contender Rick Santorum is returning to South Carolina this week for a campaign swing.

The former Pennsylvania senator is holding a media availability Friday with state Chairman Matt Moore at Republican Party Headquarters in Columbia.

Santorum is officially filing his paperwork as a candidate in the state’s first-in-the-South primary. He’s also slated to stop by the Columbia Greek Festival.

Later in the evening, he joins other Republican hopefuls in Greenville for the Heritage Action Forum.
