Wilds Status Uncertain for Saturday

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Steve Spurrier said in his weekly teleconference Sunday that starting Carolina running back Brandon Wilds’s status for Saturday’s game against Central Florida is still up in the air. Wilds was sidelined after bruising his ribs in the first half of the Carolina/Georgia game Saturday night. He finished the game with only 5 carries for 24 yards. Quarterback Lorenzo Nunez was the leading rusher for the Gamecocks Saturday night with 10 carries for 76 yards and a touchdown.
