Lt Gov McMaster participating in body armor presentation
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — South Carolina Lt. Gov. Henry McMaster is taking part in the presentation of body armor to some of the state’s law enforcement officers.
On Thursday, McMaster is appearing at the Statehouse with officials with the In-Vest USA Alliance. He’s taking part in a presentation of body armor to officers from the Pelion Police Department.
Officials say the tactical vests are made of ultra-thin steel and are intended to protect against high velocity rifles.
In-Vest is a South Carolina-based nonprofit that distributes body armor to police departments and first responders.
