Washington named interim superintendent for OCSD5

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WOLO) – The Orangeburg Consolidated School District Five Board of Trustees unanimously appointed Dr. Jesse Washington to the position of Interim Superintendent at the conclusion of a special called meeting on September 22. Washington is currently employed by the district in the position of Chief Human Resource Services Officer. His appointment will become effective on October 1. The appointment of Dr. Washington to the position of Interim Superintendent was made following the announcement of the departure of OCSD5 Superintendent Dr. Cynthia Wilson who is leaving the district on September 30 to accept the position of Chief of Staff with the Dallas Independent School District.
