Coroner: Woman found dead in her Columbia home was strangled

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — The Richland County coroner says a 47-year-old woman found dead in her Columbia home was strangled.

Investigators said officers found Ann Johnson’s body Tuesday after someone called them because they had not heard from her in a while.

Police are investigating the death, but released few other details about the killing.
