Benedict Hoops Picked To Win SIAC East Division

ATLANTA, Ga. (BC SID) — The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference announced its 2015-16 men’s basketball preseason Players of the Year and predicted order of finish, during Media Day on Tuesday at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Tucker, Ga. The Benedict College Tigers, the defending SIAC champions, were picked to finish first in the East Division, picking up nine first-place votes. Senior guard Brennan Reynard, the MVP of the 2015 SIAC Basketball Tournament, was named to the preseason All-Conference team. Paine’s Denzel Dillingham was named the preseason Player of the Year, while LeMoyne-Owen’s Jerry Hampton, the SIAC Defensive Player of the Year for the 2014-15 season, was selected the preseason Defensive Player of the Year.
