Police: 2 elderly women tied up during SC home invasion

CONWAY, S.C. (AP) — Horry County police are looking for a couple they say entered a business and then tied up two elderly women before making off with firearms, a truck, cash and jewelry. Local media outlets report the women, ages 72 and 90, were tied up and locked in a bathroom during the incident on Wednesday morning. Horry County Police Lt. Raul Denis says the bandits, thought to be about 30, entered a beauty parlor with shotguns and then forced the women into the bathroom of their nearby residence and tied them up. The couple made off in the victims’ 2004 pickup truck. Police say one of the suspects told the victims she had four children and was being treated for lung cancer. The two are considered armed and dangerous.
