Coroner: Missing Winnsboro man ID’d as car crash victim

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say the body of a Winnsboro man who was last seen more than three weeks ago has been found in an upside-down car in Columbia.
Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said the body of 54-year-old Christopher Michael Felder was found Thursday. Watts says someone reported to the Highway Patrol that they had seen a car upside-down and off Monticello Road.
Troopers found a body inside the car, and Watts identified that person as Felder. Watts says the car appears to have struck several trees before flipping.
Felder was last seen Sept. 22. He was reported missing Sept. 26.
Watt says Felder died from trauma from the crash and that the wreck likely happened around Sept. 22.
