Columbia , S.C. (WOLO) — For many people, cleaning the bathroom can be a chore, but for Tony Mazzola it is a clean sweep at life. “I was down on my hopes,” said Mazzola. A few months ago, Tony lost his mom to AIDS after she suffered a drug addiction, which led him to a low point in life. “I was down and out, I didn‘t want to live,” explained Mazzola. However, a month and a half ago his spirits turned around when Beau Roberts found him in a Florida park and saved him, giving him hope for a brighter future. “All my dreams came alive,” said Mazzola. “I love seeing people get their lives back together,” explained Beau Roberts. Roberts is the Director of the Clearwater Dream Center, a discipleship school that gets homeless people off the streets and rehabilitates them. As part of the program they go on mission trips, including one to the South Carolina State Fair where they are helping Extreme Clean manage the fairgrounds. “They get job training experience again, they learn how to get up and work and whats it‘s like, it stretches them out and prepares them for real life again,” said Roberts. For Tony, that‘s a life of promise and hope. “I see a changed person, I see a joyful man, full of life,” said Mazzola.
