Suspect arrested for stealing shotgun, rifle from Sumter home

SUMTER, S.C. (WOLO) — The Sumter County Sheriff’s Department have arrested a suspect who allegedly stole a shotgun and a rifle from a home in the 4100 block of Saddle Trail Drive. Authorities say 22-year-old Rick Roming entered the residence on Friday, Oct. 27 and stole a 12 gauge Remington shotgun and a 22 caliber Marlin semi-automatic rifle valued at approximately $5,000. Roming will be charged with first degree burglary and the possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
