Clyburn scholarship established at SC State

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WOLO) — United States Congressman Jim Clyburn and his wife Emily announced a scholarship named in her honor on Friday. Congressman Clyburn and his wife have established the Emily E. Clyburn Honors Scholarship. Officials say, a total $170k was contributed Friday to SC State: $70k from the Clyburns; $100,000 from SCANA. The fund will support at least seven $10k scholarships over the next three years. Clyburn and his wife are both 1961 graduates of the Historically Black University.
