Driver charged with DUI after fatal crash into pedestrian
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — The driver who hit and killed a pedestrian in Lexington County has been charged with DUI, but not in the death. That’s because, the South Carolina Highway Patrol says, 24-year-old Candice Peer is not at fault for hitting the person, who was walking in the road illegally. This happened Saturday around 3:30 a.m. on Bush River Road between I-20 and I-26.
