Man found dead in Holly Hill home of gunshot wound

HOLLY HILL, S.C. (AP) — Orangeburg County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a homicide in which a man was found shot to death in his home in Holly Hill.

Authorities tell local media outlets that 37-year-old Jose Joaquin White was found in his home Tuesday when his sister discovered his body.

Authorities say White was found by the front door and had died from a gunshot wound to the chest. They say he was apparently shot when he went to answer the door.

No arrest has been made.
