Clemson runs away from Texas-San Antonio 78-45

GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) — Clemson found its shooting stroke early behind Donte Grantham and went on to a 78-45 victory over Texas-San Antonio on Sunday.

Grantham finished with 22 points, including 17 points in 17 first-half minutes for the Tigers.

Clemson (2-0) also got 13 points from Jordan Roper and 11 off the bench from Gabe DeVoe. The Roadrunners (0-2) were led by 12 points from Lucas O’Brien, the only UTSA player in double figures.

Grantham and DeVoe set the tone early, combining to hit 7 of 8 3-point attempts. Grantham was 4 of 4 from beyond the arc in the first half.

The Tigers led by as many as 23 points late in the first half and took a 49-28 lead into halftime. They extended that lead to more than 30 just after the midway point of the second half.
