No. 2 South Carolina signs top point guard Bradshaw
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — South Carolina coach Dawn Staley has added one of the country’s top point guards in Araion Bradshaw to start her latest recruiting class.
Bradshaw is a 5-foot-6 guard from Tabor Academy in Hyde Park, Massachusetts. She is rated No. 32 overall and 10th at her postion by ESPNW’s women’s college basketball recruiting rankings.
Staley said in a statement Bradshaw is explosive, smart and sees the court well.
Bradshaw will join a team next season that loses two-time Southeastern Conference player of the year Tiffany Mitchell, but gains highly regarded ACC transfers in Kaela Davis of Georgia Tech and Allisha Gray of North Carolina.
The second-ranked Gamecocks opened the season win victories over No. 6 Ohio State and UNC Greensboro this past weekend. They take on rival Clemson on Wednesday night.
