Coroner identifies man struck by train in Orangeburg

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WOLO) — Orangeburg County Coroner Sean Fogle has identified the individual who after being struck by a train Monday. 52-year-old Freddie Shivers of Henley Street was pronounced dead at the scene after being struck by a train that was traveling from John C. Calhoun Drive towards Russell Street, Orangeburg County Coroner Fogle said. Shivers died of massive blunt force Injuries due to the collision. Officers with the Orangeburg Department of Public Safety and officials with the Orangeburg County Coroner‘s Office continue to investigate.
