Lexington High Cheerleaders Win State Title

LEXINGTON, S.C. (WOLO) — The Lexington High Varsity Cheerleaders won the 4A State Competitive Cheer State Championship on Saturday, November 21 at the Colonial Life Arena. The top 16 teams in the 4A division qualified to compete in the South Carolina High School League State Competitive Cheer Championships. The Lexington High cheerleaders performed their best routine of the season receiving a top score of 360. They placed ahead of cheer teams including Dutch Fork, Dorman, Mauldin and River Bluff. This is the second state title for LHS cheerleaders in the past three years. The LHS competitive cheer team is coached by Shannon Canady and Leigh Watson. Team captains are LHS Seniors Peri Jayne Skipper and Emily Zona.
