RCSD Deputies: Man wanted for attempted murder

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Deputies with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department are looking for a man wanted for attempted murder.

Sheriff Leon Lott said 25-year-old Leroy Beaton II and the victim were involved in a verbal altercation that became physical.

Beaton allegedly pulled out a gun and shot the victim Lott said.

The incident happened around 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 1 on Two Notch Road.

Deputies located the victim lying on the floor inside the business with a gunshot wound to the lower body.

EMS transported the victim to Palmetto Health Richland with non-life threatening injuries.
