Man Wanted on Multiple Counts of Attempted Murder in Orangeburg Co.

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (WOLO) — The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man wanted on multiple counts of attempted murder after he allegedly fired multiple shots into a Santee home.

Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said Jonathan Green fired shots into a residence on Omega Court after a couple exited a vehicle following a car chase from Orangeburg to Santee.

Ravenell said that home was occupied by both adults and children at the time of the shooting.

The male driver of the car, told investigators that he and a female acquaintance had earlier spotted a vehicle being driven by the father of the female’s child.

When the couple attempted to outrun the vehicle, it chased them from Five Chop Road in Orangeburg to the Santee home where the couple ran inside officials say.

“There were two small children and also a two-month-old toddler inside this residence,” the sheriff said. “This individual showed a complete lack of regard for the life of anyone inside this home.”
