USC to Name Indoor Practice Facility After Spurriers

Announced Tuesday

COLUMBIA, S.C. — The University of South Carolina will honor former USC football coach Steve Spurrier and his wife by naming USC’s new indoor practice facility after the Spurriers.

The USC Board of Trustees agreed Tuesday to name the new $14 million dollar practice facility after Steve and Jerry Spurrier. USC will hold a naming ceremony in the spring.

Spurrier led Carolina to unprecedented success, including three straight 11-win seasons between 2011 and 2013.

The school also plans on naming the field at Williams-Brice Stadium after Spurrier.
