Teen arrested for stealing packages off doorsteps

LEXINGTON, S.C. (WOLO) — Lexington County Sheriff’s Department officials say they arrested an 18-year-old West Columbia man, after he took packages off doorsteps.

Authorities say Ryan Huff is charged with petty theft. That’s a misdemeanor in South Carolina. They say he stole packages from more than a dozen homes Friday. We’re told Huff worked briefly as a part-time, seasonal employee for UPS.

Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon says his deputies spent most of the day personally delivering the packages to their intended-recipients.
