Richland County Officials Monitoring Dam Conditions
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) – Officials with Richland County officials say they’re monitoring a dam that’s cresting in Richland County.
The dam is located in the northeast part of the county at a lake near Farrow Road and Brickyard Road.
Officials say the South Carolina Emergency Management Division is aware of the conditions and are monitoring it closely.
The City of Columbia is experiencing overflows of Sanitary Sewer at the following locations:
1721 West Buchanan Drive, 1908 Belmont Drive,
4645 Pine Grove Court, and 1548 Kathwood Drive in Richland County.
The City of Columbia Wastewater Maintenance Division identified the Sanitary Sewer overflows at the following locations:
1721 West Buchanan Drive at 8:09 AM entering Pen Branch
1908 Belmont Drive at 8:16 AM entering Pen Branch
1548 Kathwood Drive at 8:28 AM entering Lake Katherine (Gills Creek)
4645 Pine Grove Court at 8:41 AM entering Lake Kat
