Winter is here, but winter weather is not

We are now officially in the winter season as we passed the winter solstice Monday. Be that as it may, it won’t feel exactly like Christmas as warm weather will stay through the rest of this week. A system is bringing plenty of rainfall all across the eastern US, and that includes South Carolina. Expect plenty of rain and even a chance for thunderstorms from Tuesday through Christmas Eve, and even on Christmas Day, we should see a chance for rain. Temperatures will reach the 70s and flirt close to the 80 degree mark by Christmas Eve for highs. Overnight lows will remain very warm, only falling into the 60s. Drier but slightly cooler weather will return through the weekend.
