Cops: Couple’s Fight Over Chicken Leads to Stabbing
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say a fight over whether or not to get a chicken dinner landed a husband and wife in the hospital.
Richland County deputies say they were called to a home at around 9 p.m. Tuesday. Officers say the man and woman got into a fight over whether to get Church’s Chicken, and the husband knocked his wife out with a punch.
When the woman came to, officers say she grabbed a knife and stabbed her husband multiple times in the upper body. Both were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The incident is still under investigation, and no charges have been announced.
