COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — It’s New Year’s Eve! In a few hours we’ll be ringing in the New Year with hopes for a brighter 2016 then maybe what the last 12 months had to offer.
If you’re choosing to spend New Year’s Eve celebrating at Famously Hot New Year, The Comet is offering several transportation options:
- The COMET Bus Routes – $3 all day
- Park-and-Ride Locations with The COMET – $3 all day
- Alert Cab – first $10 of your fare free
- Parking Garages – free but limited
- Street Closures

12 p.m.-midnight: Main Street ICE rink at Boyd Plaza (Main and Hampton Streets)
6-11:00 p.m.: New Year’s Eve Carnival (Main and Hampton Streets)
6:30 p.m.: Concert gates open
7-7:45 p.m.: Dead 27s performance
8-8:30 p.m.: ColorBlind performance
9-10 p.m.: SUSTO performance
10:30 p.m.-11:55 p.m.: Lauryn Hill performance
11:55 p.m.-12:10 a.m.: Midnight fireworks
12:10-12:30 a.m.: Ms. Lauryn Hill finale
12:30 a.m.: Beer, wine and champagne sales end
1 a.m.: Celebration finale
