Suspect’s mother returns stolen iPhone to victim of armed robbery

arobbery.jpgCOLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — A man handed over his iPhone 6 Plus after being held at gunpoint late Saturday on South Hillock Court.

Richland County Sheriff’s Office deputies say the armed robbery happened around 11:30 p.m.

Deputies say the victim was walking out to his car when the suspect left an unknown vehicle, pointed a gun at the victim’s head and demanded his possessions. He handed over his iPhone.

Officials say the suspect stole the phone and fled the area, striking a parked Nissan Altima. While deputies were on scene, authorities say the suspect’s mother arrived to return the stolen phone.
