Three arrested for attempted murder, one remains at-large

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Three people have been arrested and charged with attempted murder after a victim was shot in the 3000 block of Truman Street just before before 9 p.m. on January 9.

Columbia Police Chief Skip Holbrook said 20-year-old LaDarren Brown has been charged with attempted murder, unlawful carrying of a pistol, failure to stop on police command, resisting arrest and possession of marijuana.

24-year-old Dominick  Lewis and 19-year-old Terrone Anderson are charged with attempted murder and failure to stop on police command.

Authorities say after the suspects allegedly fled the scene their get-a-way car  hit a brick wall at 2500 Waites Road after the driver lost control.

The shooting victim was taken to a local hospital where he was treated and released for a non-life threatening injury to his arm.

Brown, Lewis and Anderson were transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

CPD is working to identify the fourth suspect in the case.
