Sheriff: Two suspects wanted for armed robbery of special needs man

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C (WOLO) —  Richland County Sheriff’s deputies are requesting the community’s assistance in locating two suspects wanted for kidnapping and armed robbery of a victim with special needs.

Authorities say that on Wednesday, December 20, 2015 the victim was walking down the 3000 block of Broad River Road when he was approached by two male suspects who forced him into the vehicle at gunpoint.

The suspects drove the victim to Tyeu Trail and Bakersfield Road where he was assaulted, Sheriff Leon Lott said.

Authorities say the victim’s book bag which contained his debit card and cash was stolen.

The victim was transported by to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries sustained in the attack.
