Authorities are investigating after a man was killed in a fire in a mobile home in Colleton County
SMOAKS, S.C. (AP) _Authorities are investigating after a man was killed in a fire in a mobile home in Colleton County .
Fire and Rescue Director Barry McRoy tells local media outlets that firefighters responded in the community of Smoaks shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday.
The man’s name has not been released.
Authorities say the doublewide mobile home was recently put in place. It was not connected to electric lines but used a generator for power.
