Westwood High School Evacuated

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) – A school in Richland School District Two was evacuated Thursday afternoon due to a suspicious odor officials tell ABC Columbia.

Parents of students at Westwood High School were sent a message informing them that students and staff had to briefly leave the building after a strong odor was detected in part of a building on the campus.

Authorities say, the local fire department and SCE&G were called to the school.

Some parents choose to pick up their students early.
