Jury Selection Set for Friend of Accused Charleston Church Shooter

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WOLO) — Jury selection is set for the friend of the accused Emanuel AME church shooter, Dylann Roof.

Jury selection for Joey Meek’s trial is set for March 1.

Officials say questionnaires have already been sent out to potential jurors.

Meek’s trial will take place in Charleston.  His attorney petitioned the court to have all of the hearings in Columbia, where Meek and his attorney live, but that request was declined since the victims in the case all resided in Charleston.
