Man arrested for murdering ex-girlfriend

Richland Co. Sheriff's detectives have arrested a man in the death of his ex-girlfriend

imageBLYTHEWOOD, S.C. (WOLO) – Richland County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested 22-year-old Andre Heatley in the murder of his ex-girlfriend Friday in the 10,000 block of Farrow Road in Blythewood.

The Richland County Coroner announced Saturday that 19-year-old Deanndra Roach died due to complications from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body.

Deputies say they were dispatched to a field off Farrow Road around 5 p.m., when a man walking his dog came across a woman lying next to her car, with several gunshot wounds in her upper body. Emergency personnel pronounced her dead at the scene

Investigators say Heatley was captured using the victim’s debit card on surveillance camera at three separate locations shortly after the crime.

They found him at an address in the 7000 block of Broad River Road early Saturday morning.

He’s being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
