WATCH: Haley stumps for Rubio in Upstate
Fresh off of her endorsement of Republican Presidential Candidate Marco Rubio, Gov. Nikki Haley is following through on her promise and hitting the campaign trail.
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Fresh off of her endorsement of Republican Presidential Candidate Marco Rubio, Gov. Nikki Haley is following through on her promise and hitting the campaign trail.
Thursday morning, Haley spoke at a Rubio rally in Greenville where she told a crowd of supporters the Florida senator is the right choice for Commander-in-Chief.
“We need to show that South Carolina makes presidents and our next president will be Marco Rubio.”
According to the most recent CNN/ORC poll, Rubio is third in South Carolina behind Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and business mogul Donald Trump.
Haley started her swing through the Upstate with a morning stop in Greenville before she moved on to Anderson. She ended her day at an Upstate landmark and a favorite place for politicians to meet potential voters, The Beacon in Spartanburg.
