Police: Suspects Still Sought in Columbiana Centre Mall Shooting Incident

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Police responded to the scene of a shots fired at Columbiana Mall in Harbison over the weekend.

According to Columbia Police Chief Skip Holbrook two people pulled guns and fired shots in the air following an altercation in front of Kay Jewelers.

The shooting occurred just after 7 p.m. Saturday, February 20.

It was not an active shooter situation and the investigation continues officials say.

Holbrook said no injuries have been reported and a SLED helicopter assisted with the investigation.

Authorities say they are are actively looking for at least two suspects.

Holbrook said Saturday that they were looking for two black males around 5’10” tall and are between 20-25-years-old. The suspects are described as wearing acid washed jeans/ jacket, red t-shirt.

Although multiple witnesses reporting seeing two black males armed with handguns, subsequent interviews with those witnesses have not confirmed seeing the suspects discharge a firearm, officials say.
