SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — A Wellford man has pleaded guilty in a 2014 shooting death and has been sentenced to 18 years in prison.
The Herald-Journal of Spartanburg reports that 25-year-old Dannie Isaiah Hamilton went on trial this week in Spartanburg County Court for murder in the death of 25-year-old Brandon Soloman Bryant.
On Wednesday, Hamilton pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Circuit Judge Roger Couch sentenced Hamilton to 18 years.
Authorities say the shooting resulted from an argument outside the home of Bryant’s mother.
