SC Coroner: Connecticut Man Died After Being Crushed

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) — The name of the individual that died from asphyxiation following a workplace accident has been released.

Richland County Coroner Gary Watts said 36-year-old Ryan Danser of Willington Connecticut died when the tank truck he was working on lost hydraulics and caught him between the truck bed and the tank.

The incident happened at The Utility Group of SC located at 1333 Pineview Drive around 11:45 a.m. Thursday.

The Richland County Coroner’s Office and OSHA continue to investigate.
