COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — It only happens once every four years. Monday is February 29th otherwise known as Leap Day.
Here are some Leap Year fun facts:
-Julius Caesar introduced the first Leap Year in 46 BC.
-According to tradition, February 29th is a day designated for women to propose to men instead of the other way around.
-People who are born on Leap Day are known as “leapers” or “leaplings.”
-Some famous leapers include motivational speaker Tony Robbins, jazz musician Jmmy Drsey, and rapper Ja Rule.
