Police: Suspect Wanted Five-Finger Discount

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Authorities with the Columbia Police Department say a man is wanted for trying to get a fiver-finger discount at a retail store before breaking into a SUV.
The man is accused of stealing a $40 FM transmitter from the Wal-mart located at 7520 Garners Ferry Road on February 29 before breaking into a car and stealing additional items.
After the suspect allegedly stole the transmitter, he broke into a parked 2014 Dodge charger and stole a coach handbag valued at $600 and a $200 iPad mini.
Authorities believe that the suspect left the parking lot in a white SUV.
