Columbia Man Killed in Collision Friday Night

deadly-crash-deputy.jpgCOLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Richland County Coroner Gary Watts is releasing the name of the individual who died Friday evening, after being involved in a two-vehicle collision at around 3 p.m. in the 2400 block of Decker Boulevard in Columbia.

24-year-old Erik Landen Griffin, of Columbia, was transported from the scene by EMS to Palmetto Health Richland Memorial Hospital where he died while in surgery at 7:30 p.m.

The City of Forest Acres Police Department and the SC Highway Patrol MAIT Team are investigating the incident.
