Student Hit by School Bus in Sumter Co.
SUMTER, S.C. (WOLO) — Officials with the Sumter County School District say a student was hit by a school bus while riding his bike to school Wednesday morning.
Shelly Galloway, the district’s Public Information Officer said in a statement that the fourth grade student was injured as a school bus driver was exiting the bus loop at High Hills Elementary School.
The student was wearing a helmet and was responsive at the time of the accident.
He was transported to the hospital by ambulance and was accompanied by his parents.
