Store Clerk Assaulted, Orangeburg Co. Teen Arrested

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) — Police say a teen is behind bars after robbing a local store he frequented.
19-year-old Trevell Garner is charged with strong arm robbery after he allegedly went to Mallard’s Grocery on Jack Branch Road just before 10 a.m. Thursday, March 10 and demanded money from the register.
Authorities with the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office say that when the store clerk attempted to flee, Garner hit the victim in the head and pulled her back into the store where he ordered her to the floor.
After allegedly stealing money from the register, Garner fled the store on a bicycle and was apprehended a short time later.
