Police Looking to ID Suspect Accused of Attempting to Steal Laundry Detergent
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) — Deputies with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department need your help identifying a suspect accused in a strong armed robbery that happened on Two Notch Road on March 16.
Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said the suspect allegedly assaulted a store employee at the Publix located at 10128 Two Notch Road.
The suspect shoved the victim in an attempt to steal a shopping cart full of liquid laundry detergent worth $200, Lott said.
Authorities say the suspect fled the business after assaulting the victim, however the victim was not injured.
The items were recovered, officials say.
The suspect is described as a black male in his late 40’s to early 50’s, wearing a burgundy shirt and white hat.
