USC Police Searching for Person of Interest in Motor Vehicle Theft
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Officers with the University of South Carolina Police Department need assistance in identifying a person of interest in a motor vehicle theft at the School of Dance.
Officials say the theft occurred on Friday, March 18 between 10:45 a.m. and 1:45 p.m in the 300 Block of Sumter Street.
The suspect allegedly took the victim’s keys from her office and stole her black Mercedes C Series sedan with SC license plate (AUQ646).
Witnesses saw an individual matching the description inside the victim’s office prior to discovery of the crime.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’4”, short haircut, wearing a blue button down shirt.
