USC WR Christian To Transfer

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Another Gamecock football player will not be part of Will Muschamp’s first season.  After Thursday’s 10th spring practice, Muschamp announced redshirt freshman Jalen Christian will transfer.

“Jalen has some things at home that he needs to handle,” said Coach Muschamp. “I respect his decision and I’m going to try to help him. He’s a great young man. We didn’t want him to leave. I really appreciate how he’s handling the situation. He’s handling it like a man would. I’m proud of him. I’m disappointed for us and for South Carolina, but at the end of the day it’s about the student-athlete.”

Christian was a high school All-American at Damascus and was rated a four-star prospect.
