Deputies Searching for Suspect After Chase
The Newberry County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help finding a man who fled from deputies in Newberry County Friday afternoon
NEWBERRY, S.C. (WOLO) – The Newberry County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help finding a man who fled from deputies in Newberry County Friday afternoon.
At around 3 p.m. Friday afternoon, Newberry County deputies attempted to stop a motor vehicle the suspect was driving in Newberry County. The suspect fled the law enforcement officers.
The vehicle chase ended after approximately five minutes on Long Pine Court in Chapin, which is near St. Peter’s Church in Lexington County. The suspect ran away. A search for the suspect by both agencies was called off because of the inclement weather.
The suspect is identified as Rafael Mack Redmond, 40, of 123 Millers Branch Road, Little Mountain, SC. Redmond was wearing a light colored shirt and faded Carolina ball hat.
