Watch: House Majority Leader Resigns
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — In a surprise announcement on Tuesday, South Carolina Senate Majority Leader Harvey Peeler announced that he would resign.
The Gaffney native has been the majority leader since 2005.
Peeler said he will however, remain in the legislature.
He made the announcement to a group of reporters outside Senate chambers.
