Police: Man Bites Off Finger

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — A 48-year-old man is accused of biting off the pinky finger of a female acquaintance.
Police say Frederick Davis is charged with domestic violence after a argument at a home on Ripplemeyer Avenue on April 6, turned physical.
During the argument Davis allegedly bit off the tip of the victim’s finger, officials say.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Officials say the finger was not located during a search of the home.
During an interview, the victim told police that she believes Davis swallowed her finger tip.
Davis is being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
